Substring

DataTarget independenttext.substring

Take Length characters starting at Start (a CJK character counts as 1). Length -1 (default) takes to the end, 0 gives an empty string. Out-of-range Start gives an empty string.

Example use

Take 4 characters from index 0; use length -1 to read to the end.
