Developer guide
Extend Yotta with nodes, background services and panels using the public SDK
For authors extending Yotta. Build nodes, continuous data services and interactive panels in an independent project, then package and install them in the App.
Development path
- Plugins and the SDK: public interfaces, project boundaries and version identities.
- Create your first plugin: obtain a pinned SDK, generate a project, implement and run a node.
- Background services and panels: provide persistent state and user interactions.
- Package, install and publish: produce packages, verify updates and publish platform variants.
Before you start
Become familiar with nodes, data ports and execution branches. Plugins use the public SDK to work with the host. Pin its version and keep stable identifiers for nodes, fields and panel components.
Switch to the user guide to learn the App and build workflows. Use Nodes in the top navigation to look up existing nodes and their parameters.
